THANK YOU COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Advertising Awareness Survey 2009 and the "Thank You" competition associated with that are open only to the 4,800 holders of the email addresses supplied to Derham Marketing Research Pty. Ltd. by First Direct Solutions (a Division of Australia Post) on or by February 11, 2009 for this express survey and competition.  Others may complete the survey but unless their email address is listed in the First Direct Solutions (a Division of Australia Post) list supplied, they are not eligible to enter the “Thank you” competition, and if they enter, are not eligible for the random draw to select the winners.

The survey will be undertaken in two waves.  The first wave will be undertaken by an invitation to 2,800 of the 4,800 email addresses obtained to participate in an online survey, the link for which will be sent during the week commencing Wednesday February 11, 2009 and that survey’s wave will run until 6 pm on Wednesday 18, 2009.  The second survey wave will start on Monday March 23 and will close on Wednesday April 1, 2009.  The participants in this second survey wave will be the remaining 2,000 email addresses obtained from First Direct Solutions (a Division of Australia Post) for this purpose.

Five of the people who respond during the survey time for wave 1, and 5 of the people who respond during the survey time for wave 2, and who have provided a valid email address from the First Direct Solutions list, will be randomly selected as the winner of one of five prizes each worth $100 for that wave.  There will be 10 prizes in total for the two waves combined – with a total prize value of $1,000.  Each of these $100 prizes will be a Woolworths Wish gift voucher.

In addition, to the five prizes per survey wave, there will be an additional prize of $1,000 cash and all valid entries from both waves will be eligible to be in the draw for this $1,000 cash prize. 

Winners of the $100 Woolworths Gift vouchers are also eligible for this additional prize and the winner will be selected by an additional draw that includes all eligible entrants. 

Each individual survey wave prize is worth $100.  The total prize value is $2,000 including the $1,000 cash prize available for participants in either wave.

Only one entry per person is permitted.

The Judge's decision on all matters relating to this contest is final.  The judge is Philip Derham, Director, Derham Marketing Research Pty. Ltd.

Entry to the “Thank you” competition requires the participant to add their email address to the last screen of the survey.  Then, if they are one of the randomly selected winners, they will need to supply their first and family names, and home or business postal address to enable Derham Marketing Research Pty. Ltd. to mail them their prize – the Woolworths Wish gift voucher or a cheque for $1,000.

The first wave survey will close at 6 pm on Wednesday February 18, 2009 and the draw for the prizes for that wave will be undertaken at 7 pm that day at Derham Marketing Research's premises at Level 1, 101-103 Union Road, Surrey Hills, Victoria, 3127.

The second wave survey will close at 6 pm on Thursday April 2, 2009 and the draw for the prizes for that wave will be undertaken at 7 pm that day at Derham Marketing Research's premises at Level 1, 101-103 Union Road, Surrey Hills, Victoria, 3127.  After the draw for that wave has been completed, a second draw, including participants from both waves, for the combined waves’ prize of $1,000 will be undertaken.

All randomly selected winners who respond with their address advices by 6 pm on Wednesday May 20, 2009 (for wave 1) or by Thursday July 2, 2009 for wave 2, will be mailed their prize the following day.  Any who do not respond by these dates appropriate to their draw (three months after the first draw date) will have their prize nullified.  A fresh random draw will be undertaken that day and the holder/s of that/those email addresses advised they have won a supplementary prize and invited to submit their first and family names, and home or business postal address to enable Derham Marketing Research Pty. Ltd. to mail them their prize.  This process, with the three month delays between each fresh random draw, will be continued until all prizes have been dispatched.

Surveys may be submitted without the respondent email address details, as entry into the “Thank you” competition is voluntary, but any submissions that lack these details will not be entered into the “Thank you” competition.

The survey winners will be chosen at random from all entries received at Derham Marketing Research Pty. Ltd.’s advised survey website.

No winner will win more than one prize and 10 or 11 individual participants will win one prize each. 

The prize winning entries will be selected by random draws of all numbers from the range of 1 and the total number of entries received by the close date.  Ten RANDBETWEEN functions will be used to select the winning numbers and the people in the corresponding row numbers on the survey’s entrants’ Excel spreadsheet will be chosen as the randomly selected winners.

Derham Marketing Research Pty. Ltd. will check the randomly selected winning email addresses against the list supplied by First Direct Solutions.  If and when the winning entries are verified as being from that list, Derham Marketing Research will email requests for name and address details to enable the prizes to be mailed.

The winners’ email addresses (prefixes only) will be published on www.derhamresearch.com.au on the Friday immediately after each draw and will remain there for three months after the draw.  Entrants' details will be retained for six months after and then destroyed.  These terms and conditions will be published on www.derhamresearch.com.au before the survey begins and remain there for three months after the survey’s close date of April 2, 2009.
