Fascinating to see that the most advantaged State/Territory in Australia, as the ABS measures this in terms of household advantage, is the National Capital – the ACT.
Then, it is also interesting to note that two of the three more advantaged States are the major population States of NSW and Victoria, with the resource-rich Western Australia forming the trio.
Also, perhaps with different reasons, for the roles of the States with the highest proportions of most disadvantaged households, the small population Tasmania and the Northern Territory are identified by the data.
This data provides clear evidence of where more assistance can be directed to bring household in all States and Territories to the overall national norms.
