The company principal, Philip Derham, is an experienced moderator and quantitative researcher.
Philip’s experience developed in roles with major media, market research, and government bodies, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics, The Herald & Weekly Times, and Roy Morgan Research.
He is a Fellow of the (Australian) Research Society, and a Professional Member of the Australian Marketing Institute. His qualifications include BA. (Mon.), Grad. Dip. Mktg. (CIT), Dip. M.R. (MRSA), and he has been a TRS-certified Qualified Professional Researcher since 2002.
Philip is an experienced presenter and speaker about market research and how its disciplines and tools can find business-building insights to customers’ and prospective customers’ motivations and needs, and so strengthen business performance.
He is a long-term mentor of Monash University Business School students and a long-term practicum project supporter and supplier for Deakin University students.

As effective research techniques enable more accurate findings and insights, Philip continually reviews the techniques that Derham Insights Research uses and, when he finds improvements, publishes those in industry journals so that the broader market research industry can improve – so strengthening research practices and participant experience and so continued willingness to participate in market research acttivities.
